DIAPOLE™


DIAPOLE means Dong-In Aluminum POLE, which is a generic name of Dong-In Entech’s manufactured tent poles.
It consists of a total six series with four P Grade(Press-Fit) and two E grade(Expanded).
DIAPOLE’s main material is 7000 series aluminum, which has lightweight and strong mechanical properties,
used on aircraft parts. It has the advantage of excellent durability and corrosion resistance.
DIAPOLE uses an eco-friendly anodizing method, and it is also in line with recent international concerns on PFAS(Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) regulations.
It has a great advantage to have all In-House system, which is from the beginning process of extrusion to final process of anodizing and tent pole assembly.
It makes us to control quality management internally and contributes to cost reduction as well.
DIAPOLE offers an integrated solution to make everything from aluminum tent pole as well as tent skin sewing technology and plastic injection.
As a new challenger, DIAPOLE aims to be a GAME CHANGER of the tent pole market by studying and analyzing the needs of customers.
Not satisfied with the current quality level, R&D of DIAPOLE to become the World’s best tent pole manufacturer is constantly continuing.

Development History

DIAPOLE has created its own specifications after several years of self-testing and has been updating and upgrading the specifications through continuous additional experiments.
DIAPOLE conducts basic mechanical properties testing(Tensile Strength, Yield Strength, Elongation) and Compression bending testing(Long/Short segment).



DIAPOLE has its own heat treatment method to secure optimal mechanical properties.
DIAPOLE has the best surface quality and colors through the latest fully automatic anodizing facility.
DIAPOLE provides an optimal solution by a precise process of high-strength aluminum based on research through FEA(Finite Element Analysis).


DIAPOLE is preparing to step forward through additional facilities of Saltwater Spray Testing, Wind Tunnel and Rain Testing.



DIAPOLE Series

Press-Fit Series
PG
PG is a basic type of Press-Fit series, and it is suitable for family tents or basic camping tents.
 
PL
PL is lighter version than PG and suitable for weight-conscious camping tents or backpacking tents.
 
PS
PS is lighter version than PL and suitable for backpacking tents.
 
PU
PU is the lightest version of Press-Fit series and suitable for climbing or bivy tents.
 
Expanded Series
ES
ES has expanded both ends of pole segment, which is specified in DIAPOLE standard and has an advantage of being able to connect tent poles of various outer diameters too. suitable for backpacking tents.
 
EU
EU is lighter version than ES and suitable for extreme tents or climbing tents.


Characteristics of P and E series.
- P series is an improved insert fitting method that complements the issue of removing insert of bonding method.
- E Series has an advantage of having larger bending momentum compared to P series, which differs in the degree of bending between P and E series during tent pole bending.
- ES is developed to be able to connect tent poles of various outer diameters.

The process of artificial aging heat treatment to increase mechanical properties.

The process of oxidizing the surface of aluminum through an electrochemical process to form a protective layer. The oxidized surface layer increases corrosion/wear resistance and can provide various colors by penetrating dyes into the surface.
